Dakota Street Center Initiative

The Dakota Street Center is a community center that engages all ages in the local community of the West side of Dayton. They engage the neighborhood through after school youth programs, senior citizen activities, and a community garden. The Center was co-founded by Marianist Priest Fr. Phil Holle in the 1970s. We continue the Marianist connection with the Center by supporting the Dakota Street Center as one of our urban solidarity initiatives.

In the past, the local Marianist Family of Dayton has helped with the community garden, support a Marianist PULSE volunteer worker, host a Trunk or Treat program, and support other various activities of the Center.
