Marianist World Day of Prayer Celebration and Urban Solidarity Initiative Continuing Conversation
Sunday, October 13th
2 to 4PM
Madeleine Room in the Chaminade Center (Mount St. John)
Join us for our annual regional commemoration of the Marianist World Day of Prayer, which this year will bring us in prayerful union with our Marianist Family in Western Africa.
Each October, our global Marianist Family selects a particular region and place of Marian pilgrimage to center our prayer on. This year's prayer resource has been developed by the World Council of the Marianist Family, and it is inspired by the Marian image of Our Lady of Atakora in Benin.
We will begin the afternoon with a prayer service based on this resource. After the prayer service, members of the Dayton Marianist Family Council will lead us in a presentation and conversation about the various urban solidarity initiatives we have begun in Dayton, particularly how we can continue momentum in support of these initiatives.
We will provide some cookies and lemonade, but we encourage you to bring a snack to share!
Please RSVP by Tuesday, October 8th so we know how many people to expect! You can RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
