The mission of the Marianist Lay Community of North America is to energize Marianist laity to be vibrant animators of the Marianist charism and to breathe new life in our Marianist vocation and commitment.

MLC-NA represents and serves Marianist laity across North America. MLC-NA is the national organization that, through its affiliation with the International Organization of Marianist Lay Communities, gives Marianist laity a face, and official recognition within the Marianist Family, and by the Vatican, as an official branch of the Marianist Family. MLC-NA is comprised of individual members as well as the membership of Marianist Lay Communities across North America.

The North American Center for Marianist Studies provides resources to people interested in the Marianist Family—including brothers, sisters, priests, and lay people—and to Marianist ministries. Through programs, publications, research, and a special library collection, NACMS strives to link the vision of the Marianist Founders—William Joseph Chaminade,Adèle de Batz de Trenquelléon, and Marie Thérèse de Lamourous—to the contemporary Church and world. NACMS is sponsored by the Society of Mary, a Catholic religious order.

Located on the campus of the University of Dayton, we are one of the largest international centers of study, research and teaching on Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to gather and present information about the Virgin Mary and to lead people to a loving knowledge of her. In learning more about Mary, we develop a more complete knowledge of Christ, His Church and Christian life. This global, scholarly and pastoral mission is fulfilled through the operation of the academic program, library, gallery, museum, as well as through research, publication, speaking engagements and various other forms of outreach, both actual and virtual.

Through the Marianist Social Justice Collaborative, the three branches of the Marianist Family in North America (Society of Mary, Marianist Sisters and the Marianist Lay Network) unite and multiply the efforts of Marianists to act for social justice.  We offer hope, inspiration and opportunity for action through education, outreach and advocacy at the local, national and international levels.

Students come to CJ from across the Miami Valley coming from over 60 different institutions and gain the unique advantage of learning within a culture rich with students from different backgrounds and experiences--an advantage that many students do not have prior to beginning their college career.

From a Marianist Community of student brothers open to visitors for Sunday Eucharist, Queen of Apostles Community emerged as a non-territorial parish on August 28, 1973.Continuing in the tradition of the Marianist Charism, we come together each week as a family of Catholic, Christian believers, to worship our God in the Eucharist with song & praise and to share in the breaking of the Bread. In so doing, we proclaim our willingness to build a community of love and to be the holy people God calls us to be.
